Our hose is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is never from recycled materials, ensuring that no chemicals from firefighting (firewater) have ever passed through.
The inner tube is made from a smooth black rubber blend, while the outer cover features a white polyester weave that resists mildew and rot.
There are two options for this type of firehose: single jacket and double jacket. Only one is tough enough for creating Tugmutt dog toys.
What do single jacket and double jacket mean?
-Single jacket: This is the base type of hose and is created by bonding the white polyester weave to the tube, resulting in a water-tight product that can withstand high pressure.
-Double jacket: This option adds an extra layer of the white polyester weave, forming a tubular sleeve that fits snugly over the single jacket hose. This extra layer significantly increases the weight and thickness.
Double jacket firehose is the thickest and toughest firehose available, making it an ideal material for long-lasting dog toys.
Due to its thickness and density, this material is challenging to work with and requires heavy-duty sewing machines typically used for horse saddlery.
